AnCESTORS, Angels, Spirit Guides + Source
Centuries before, people would turn to and utilize their (deceased) ancestors, angels, their spirit guides and most importantly God/Source for assistance, answers and guidance. At times, assistance was as simple as accessing ingredients in a passed down family recipe or medical cure that wasn’t written down, to broader assistance for things like travel, making big choices or utilizing their help in times of war, or sickness.
Today, turning to “spirit” for assistance has been looked at as taboo and it shouldn’t be. We all have access to our ancestors, angels, our spirit guides, as well as to God/Source, if we choose to call on them, listen and work with them. You can communicate through prayer, offerings, meditation and ritual.

In the spiritual/metaphysical world there are a few different views on ancestry. Some people tie our ancestors to past lives we’ve lived, and some believe we choose our ancestry upon birth to give us a specific perception or lens as a way to view life.
For those on a path of healing, spiritual development, awakening, and ascension, inter-generational conditioning is something that absolutely must be addressed and resolved in order for one to really cultivate an embodied sense of love that is free from attachment, unhealed wounds, trauma, and fear.
Ancestral healing is about ending patterns of trauma within the family so you and your children and future generations don’t have to deal with those influences and unhealed experiences anymore.
AnGELS
There are different views about the nature of angels, but virtually all accounts agree that angels are beings of pure love who give us messages to help us find our true path in life.
Guardian angels, or Spirit Guides, help us to navigate real life here on earth in the physical world. You can think of them as divine life coaches. Loved ones, friends and even pets who have passed can come through as angels for us, as well as send us messages, signs and symbols from the other side.
And then there are Archangels, they work for the highest spirit (God). Archangels come to us with much love, acceptance, understanding and deep compassion. They empower us and support us, if we are willing to ask and listen. Here is a list of the Archangels. You will notice that most of their names end with “el” – which means “of God”.

God/Source
The words God and Source are sometimes used interchangeably in Spirituality. (Spirituality is bigger than Religion, if you’d like to explore that topic.) God is the highest vibration of energy (Spirit) from which all things are made and source is everything that is. Source can also be referred to as God, consciousness, energy, prana, or even Spirit.
